Unsettled conditions are set to continue across the UAE – here’s what to expect over the coming days
After a run of glorious sunshine across Dubai this weekend, it looks like outdoor plans this week may need a quick check of the UAE weather forecast first.
According to the latest update from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the UAE weather is heading into a stretch of cloudier conditions, with dusty spells, fresh winds and the chance of light rain in parts of the country.
UAE weather for the week
The week begins (Monday, April 20) with generally fair skies, before cloud builds into the evening, particularly along coastal areas and islands.
There’s a chance of light rain early on Tuesday, with winds picking up and blowing dust and sand across western parts of the country.
Into Tuesday and Wednesday, the unsettled conditions continue. Expect dusty spells at times, with light rain possible over coastal, eastern areas and islands, alongside a noticeable dip in temperatures, especially along the coast. Winds may freshen, reducing visibility in more exposed areas.
By Thursday, it’s a similar picture, with cloud, dust and occasional chances of rain lingering across parts of the UAE. Seas in the Arabian Gulf are also expected to turn rough at times, particularly westward.
For those with outdoor plans, it’s worth keeping an eye on changing conditions, especially later in the day when winds tend to pick up. Beachgoers and boaters should also take note of rougher sea conditions at times, while drivers may encounter reduced visibility in dusty areas.
