The RTA in Dubai has announced that recently it has completed a major development along Al Qudra Road with the improvement of two of its intersections with the opening of two new bridges.
The first bridge improves the intersection between Arabian Raches and Dubai Studio Cityy. It is spanning 600 metres and has four lanes to help improve traffic flow. The bridge has improved traffic capacity by 191% and waiting time by 55% so you can now travel along Al Qudra Road in 2.8 minutes instead of the previous 9.4 minutes. It’s said that this will affect 400,000 of Dubai’s residents.

The second intersection to be improved is between the Al Qudra Road and Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street and the second of the bridges is 700 metres long, with four lanes in each direction. It will significantly increase road capacity and reduce waiting time at the junction.
Recently the RTA also announced upgrades to roads that will affect 18 neighbourhoods in Dubai and residents are seeing travel time reduce by a huge 40%. You can see the list of neighbourhoods here. Another huge update for traffic in Dubai was the Dhs6 billion motorway. Measuring 68km, the Fourth Federal Corridor project will link Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman via a new 6 – 8 lane highway. We love to see it.
