Plans for the day, sorted for the whole family
Expo City Dubai is marking International Museum Day by offering the community free entry to Vision Dubai from Saturday, May 16 to 18, 2026.
The Vision Pavilion is an immersive experience honouring the story of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. From his days learning in the desert to his love for nature and horses, guests will see how his innovative vision has paved the way for Dubai to become a modern metropolis that still reflects his connection to the pure essences of the city.

It echoes the 2026 International Museum Day theme, “Museums Uniting a Divided World”—a focus on connection across cultures, generations, and perspectives. At Vision, visitors don’t just observe exhibits; they experience shared heritage and a sense of collective identity. And for UAE residents, it’s also a moment to feel a renewed sense of pride in the country they call home.
What to expect at Vision?

The journey begins in the desert, where visitors encounter the traditions of the Bani Yas tribe and the Bedouin values of generosity and respect, then moves through a reimagined childhood room at Zabeel Palace and a sculptural tribute to His Highness’ beloved horse, Dubai Millennium – reflecting the discipline that underpins his personal passions. The experience is based on a book by Sheikh Mohammed titled My Story: 50 Memories from 50 Years of Service.
