How living in Dubai is becoming greener, more connected and more convenient than ever
The neighbourhoods
Across the city, neighbourhoods are being designed with everyday routines in mind. The focus is shifting towards mixed-use communities where homes, schools, shops and workspaces sit closer together, making day-to-day life feel way more connected.

The green spaces
Dubai’s Blue and Green Spaces Roadmap 2030 is placing nature at the centre of city life. The plan includes 1.5 million trees, 120 new parks, 200 sports and recreational spaces, three new beach destinations each year, and a near three-fold expansion of beachfront walking, jogging and cycling tracks by 2030.
Parks, walkways and waterfront areas are becoming a bigger part of how communities function. These spaces are no longer just weekend spots, but part of daily life – places to walk, meet and exercise.
The way we move
Transport is also being shaped around ease and flow. New connections, improved public transport links and better-integrated roads are all working towards reducing the need for long journeys.
The city plan
Dubai’s wider development plans, including its long-term urban vision, continue to focus on proximity, sustainability and liveability – ideas closely aligned with the 15-minute city concept. More neighbourhood centres, expanded green spaces and improved connectivity are all part of how the city is being structured for the future.
