Abu Dhabi fans can relive iconic singalong hits when The Corrs perform live at Etihad Arena later this year
If your teenage soundtrack included Breathless blasting through tinny car speakers or Runaway playing on repeat in your bedroom, this one’s going to hit hard. The Corrs are returning to Abu Dhabi for a one-night-only concert at Etihad Arena on September 27.
The Irish sibling group will bring their mix of Celtic folk, pop rock and harmonies that somehow still sound exactly the same decades later. Andrea, Sharon, Caroline and Jim Corr have spent years building a catalogue of songs people still know word for word. Be ready to loudly participate in Breathless, What Can I Do, So Young and pretty much every chorus in between.
The band last performed in the UAE years ago, so this feels like a proper comeback moment for fans who grew up in the late ’90s and early 2000s. Their music has always sat somewhere between emotional road trip soundtrack and wedding dance floor classic. Somehow, it works for both.
And while plenty of nostalgia acts rely heavily on memories, The Corrs still have the live show to back it up. Their concerts are polished without feeling over-rehearsed, and there’s a warmth to watching four siblings perform together that gives the whole thing a different energy. One minute you’re watching a violin solo, the next you’re singing along to lyrics you didn’t realise you still remembered.
The Abu Dhabi stop takes place at Etihad Arena on Yas Island, which means thousands of fans are about to collectively relive their teenage years for one night.
Tickets officially go on sale on Monday May 11 at 12pm through Etihad Arena. Mastercard holders get early access from Friday May 8 at 12pm. And judging by how beloved this band still is, waiting too long probably is not the move.
