Dubai Taxi Company has added 600 new licences, boosting capacity as demand for mobility services continues to rise across the city
Ever found yourself standing on the curb thinking, “Where is my taxi?” Good news – that wait might get a little shorter. Dubai Taxi Company has added 600 new taxi licences through the latest Roads and Transport Authority auction, boosting its fleet and expanding coverage across the city as demand for rides continues to grow.
The expansion reinforces DTC’s position as the emirate’s largest taxi operator, increasing its market share to 47%.

With the addition, the fleet will grow from 6,217 to 6,817 vehicles. The new vehicles will be introduced in a structured rollout starting July 2026.

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, Group CEO of Dubai Taxi Company stated, “The acquisition of 600 new taxi plates is a meaningful step forward for Dubai Taxi Company and reflects our confidence in the continued growth of Dubai’s mobility sector,”

Alfalasi explained that the new taxis will be introduced in stages, allowing the company to manage the expansion smoothly, maintain service quality, and ensure the fleet operates efficiently as demand continues to grow across Dubai.
