Set to become quite the foodie hotspot, it’s bringing a collection of homegrown and international icons to a new shopping and dining destination
In Dubai, we take our shopping malls seriously. From haute fashion districts to food halls packed with global flavours, to attractions that range from soft play to record-breaking rollercoasters, Dubai’s malls are more than just places to shop. They’re attractions, destinations and places that bring people together
And now, it looks like another new mall in Dubai is set to open soon, and this one looks like it’s set to be quite the foodie favourite. First Avenue Mall Jumeirah (not to be mistaken for First Avenue Mall already open in Motor City) has been under construction for several years, and can be found on Jumeirah Road, near to Jumeirah Fishing Harbour.
And although we don’t have the full lowdown of all the shops, restaurants and leisure options yet, a new Instagram post has given us a sneak peek into what to expect.
While the outlets very much seem to still be under construction, hoardings for some brilliant new restaurants have gone up. Let’s take a closer look…
Jon and Vinny’s
The celebrity-beloved LA Italian-American restaurant, favoured by the likes of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, is already found in Saudi Arabia. But now it’s bringing its signature wood-fired pizzas, fluffy pancakes and iconic green pizza boxes to Jumeirah, marking its Dubai debut.
Soraya
The acclaimed Persian dining experience, celebrated for its vibrant charcoal-grilled kabobs and communal feasting, Soraya makes its Dubai debut after winning fans at Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall.
Nala
The Natasha Sideris (tashas Group) concept that made waves at Alserkal Avenue is expanding its fast-casual “fancy canteen” format Nala to First Avenue Mall, serving flavour-packed made-to-order dishes at speed without compromise.
Lost in Tokyo
After earning a devoted following through its sought-after run at Marsa Boulevard, the homegrown concept is finding its permanent home at First Avenue Mall, serving pure, fuss-free Tokyo-style Edomae sushi.
Mareel
After popping up in destinations across Dubai, from d3’s winter market in 2021 to Flat 12 cafe in 2023, Mareel will find it’s permanent home in First Avenue Mall in 2026. Expect speciality coffee, warming beverages and tasty treats to go.
Tora Tora
Inspired by the legendary Japanese tiger, Tora Tora brings bold energy to Dubai through slow-simmered ramen broths, handcrafted noodles and flavourful starters that blend authentic techniques with contemporary dining.
Booba World
Spanning over 1,500 square metres, the world-first immersive edutainment destination themed around the globally beloved animated character Booba will open at First Avenue Mall, per Retail & Leisure International. The fun-filled attraction will feature seven distinct interactive zones designed for children aged two to eight.
Warehouse Gym
Dubai’s go-to premium gym chain brings its latest club to Jumeirah 1, complete with a full strength setup, functional zones, cardio and the brand’s signature classes. Founders memberships are now available online, priced from Dhs333 per month.
