A wholesome day out in Hatta awaits
Dubai might be known for its soaring skyscrapers, glamourous beach clubs and shiny malls. But those who know Dubai know there’s much more to it than that. Which is why Hatta, located 90-minutes away from the main city, is one of our favourite spots to visit when we’re craving a little nature and alfresco adventure.
And alongside an array of glamping options, hiking trails and sporting pursuits on offer, it’s also where you can go strawberry picking in Dubai.
Set against the rugged backdrop of Hatta’s hills and close to the sparkling waters of the Hatta Dam, the Hatta Strawberry Farm invites you to enjoy a tasty day out with family, friends or a leisurely solo trip.

Strawberry enthusiasts can look forward to a pick-your-own fruit experience amid rows of vibrant plants. Entry is free of charge, with strawberry picking priced at Dhs35 for children and Dhs55 for adults. These pick-your-own sessions are complemented by the opportunity to discover an array of seasonal farm products in the shop, like jams and freshly pressed juices that reflect Hatta’s agricultural creativity and community spirit. Do note, it’s recommended that you pre-book your pick-your-own session in advance.
The farm also plays an interesting role in Dubai’s sustainable agriculture story. Just a short drive from the strawberry fields, new greenhouse facilities across Hatta — including expanded hydroponic systems — form part of a larger agricultural initiative across Hatta designed to support food security and modern farming techniques.
