Celebrate Ramadan in Abu Dhabi at Lammat Ramadan on the Corniche and family festivals in Al Ain and Al Dhafra
Ramadan changes the pace of Abu Dhabi. Days feel slower, nights stretch longer, and after iftar the city hums again. This year, that hum gets a little louder with Ramadan Festival 2026 rolling out across three locations. The festival opens on February 20 at ADNEC Al Ain and Madinat Zayed Park in Al Dhafra. A week later, on February 27, it lands on the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Each venue runs as its own neighbourhood with lanterns overhead, a souq lined with local makers and plenty of corners to stop and sit awhile.

In Al Ain and Al Dhafra, the festival runs until March 1. The Corniche edition continues until March 8. All three open from 8pm to 2am, timed for those easy post iftar hours when no one is in a rush to go home. Culture leads the programme. Expect traditional Al Ayala and Al Harbiyah performances, with drums that echo across the space and dancers moving in tight formation. Calligraphy artists work quietly at their tables, turning simple words into art. Storytellers gather children close and spin tales that hold their attention far longer than a screen ever could. There is live music and theatre woven through the schedule, giving each night its own flavour.
Children get their own share of fun. Puppet shows, hands on workshops and games keep them busy while parents browse or chat over coffee. Food trucks line the walkways with Ramadan drinks, savoury snacks and suhoor plates for those planning to stay late. You can snack as you stroll or settle in for something more filling.
