Planning a Global Village visit? Here’s the latest
If you were planning a visit to Global Village soon, you may need to hold off a little longer. One of Dubai’s most popular open-air attractions remains closed for now, with no confirmed reopening date as authorities continue to monitor the situation.
What’s the latest?
Global Village has confirmed it will remain closed for the time being, in line with official guidance. The attraction first closed a few weeks ago, and management has said it is continuing to assess when it will be suitable to reopen safely.
For now, there’s no indication of when doors will reopen, and visitors are encouraged to keep an eye on Global Village’s official social channels for the latest updates.

Why is it still closed?
The extended closure is a precautionary measure while conditions across the region are reviewed. Although operations at Dubai International Airport are gradually returning to normal, some outdoor attractions are choosing to remain closed for longer.
It’s not just Global Village either. Other major attractions, including Dubai Parks and Resorts and Ain Dubai, have also confirmed ongoing closures, signalling a wider cautious approach across the city’s outdoor entertainment spaces.

What does this mean for visitors?
At the moment, Global Village will stay closed until further notice. There is still no confirmed timeline for when Season 30 will resume, and it remains unclear whether the attraction will reopen before the end of its current season, which typically runs until May.
If it does not reopen in time, the next opportunity to visit may be when the new season launches later in the year, usually around October.
