There will also be a rise in temperatures
Did you wake up in a cloud this morning? Motorists across Dubai and Sharjah are being affected by the weather and faced difficult driving conditions on Tuesday morning after the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) issued a fog alert, warning of reduced visibility across internal and coastal areas until 9am.
Dense fog formed overnight in several parts of the UAE, leading to challenging conditions for early morning commuters and contributing to heavy rush-hour traffic on major roads. Authorities urged drivers to exercise extreme caution, reduce speed, and maintain safe following distances while travelling through fog-affected areas.
RTA Dubai and Sharjah Police issue traffic advisories
RTA Dubai and Sharjah Police both issued traffic alerts on social media, advising residents to drive carefully and expect delays on key routes. Motorists were reminded to use headlights in low visibility conditions and avoid sudden lane changes.

UAE weather forecast: Fog risk and rising temperatures
Looking ahead, the UAE is expected to see generally fair to partly cloudy weather from Tuesday through Saturday, according to the NCM. Humidity levels will increase at night, particularly in coastal and internal areas, raising the likelihood of fog or mist during early morning hours.
In its forecast for Tuesday, the NCM said low clouds may develop eastward, with humid conditions continuing into Wednesday morning. Winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally freshening, while sea conditions are expected to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
Residents are advised to stay updated with official Dubai weather forecasts and traffic alerts, particularly if travelling early in the morning over the coming days.
