The weather forecast in the UAE could cause flight disruptions in Dubai
Passengers flying out of Dubai International Airport are being advised to plan ahead, as adverse weather conditions are predicted across the city on March 26 and 27.
Emirates has issued a travel advisory urging customers to check their flight status before heading to the airport, as delays or disruptions may occur due to the weather. Travellers are encouraged to visit the airline’s website to stay up to date with any schedule changes, and to ensure their contact details are current so they can receive real-time notifications.
Passengers departing during this period are also advised to arrive at least two hours before their scheduled departure time to allow for potential delays at the airport.

While no widespread cancellations have been confirmed, the advisory serves as a precaution as conditions across Dubai are expected to be unsettled over the two-day period.

When will it peak?
According to the National Centre of Meteorology, unsettled UAE weather will continue through Thursday before peaking on Thursday night into Friday morning.
A powerful low-pressure system moving across the region is driving the conditions, bringing:
- Heavy rain at times
- Strong winds
- Thunderstorms
- Reduced visibility in places
Rain is expected to begin in the west before spreading across the country overnight and into Friday.
