In the latest UAE travel update, direct road transfers now connect Sharjah to Muscat International Airport
If you’re looking for a way to continue your journey, bus transfers from Sharjah to Muscat are now in place for stranded travellers in the UAE, according to the latest UAE travel update confirmed by SalamAir and Oman Air. The service connects Sharjah directly to Muscat International Airport, allowing eligible passengers to travel onward with confirmed airline bookings.

- The transfers are being arranged by Oman Air and SalamAir, with buses operated by Muwasalat.
- Buses depart from Al Jubail Bus Station and travel directly to Muscat International Airport.
- Services will run from March 3 to March 5, operating: 9am to 5pm and 8pm to 10.30pm
- Passengers must arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

- The service is available only to travellers eligible for visa on arrival in Oman. Around 100 nationalities qualify, but passengers must check their eligibility through Oman’s official eVisa portal before booking.
- Travellers who are not eligible must arrange a visa in advance, which can take 24 to 48 hours to process.
- A confirmed onward flight from Muscat with either Oman Air or SalamAir is required.
Booking and cost
- All tickets must be purchased in advance. No tickets will be sold at Al Jubail Bus Station.
- Bookings can be made through airline channels or authorised travel agencies including Musafir.com and Sharjah National Travel and Tourist Agency (SNTTA).
- The current fare is 50 OMR.
