And it doesn’t involve any frantic calling

Minor car accidents happen—and when they do, your first instinct might be to call Dubai Police to get the report. However, authorities have clarified that their assistance isn’t needed for minor accident reports.

The reminder from Dubai Police comes as heavy rain is expected across the country this week. Motorists are being urged to drive with extra caution and to only contact authorities in the event of a major accident. Reporting minor incidents can divert resources away from more urgent situations that require immediate assistance.

A major car accident is when there is serious damage and injury. In which case you need to call Dubai Police on 901 or call for the ambulance if needed. Dubai Police will then send a patrol to the accident site.
