Passengers that have planned to travel with Etihad Airways are being advised to check the latest travel information before heading to the airport

Etihad has confirmed that all scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended until 6am (UAE time) on Friday March 6. During this time, the airline is working closely with UAE authorities and aviation regulators to determine when regular services can resume.

Limited flights operating

Although most scheduled passenger services remain suspended, Etihad says a small number of repositioning, cargo and repatriation flights are currently operating. The airline has also made some limited seats available for travel today where the necessary operational approvals have been granted.

Don’t travel to the airport unless confirmed

Travellers are strongly advised not to head to the airport unless they have received confirmation of their booking. Access to the airport will be restricted to passengers with valid travel documentation and confirmed reservations.

What affected passengers should do

Passengers booked on Etihad flights are encouraged to take a few steps before travelling:

  • Check your flight status on the Etihad website before leaving for the airport
  • Ensure your contact details are up to date in your booking so you receive the latest updates
  • Contact your travel agent if your booking was made through a third party

Rebooking and refunds

  • Travellers whose Etihad tickets were issued on or before February 28, 2026, with original travel dates up to March 10, can rebook onto Etihad-operated flights free of charge up to March 31, 2026.
  • Passengers scheduled to travel on any Etihad flight until March 10 can also request a refund online or through their travel agent.

The airline says customer service teams are currently experiencing a high volume of calls, so passengers may experience longer waiting times than usual.

Passengers are encouraged to keep checking the airline’s official channels for the latest updates before travelling.
