If your weekends have been feeling a little same-same, this is the kind of reset you want. Al Khail Square is stepping into the new season with Spring Moments, a line-up of workshops, live entertainment and easy, family-friendly experiences that turn a casual visit into something more. It follows a busy Ramadan that drew in over 100,000 visitors, and now the space is shifting gears into colour, creativity and a slower kind of outdoor living.

At the heart of it is The Arcades, where café culture meets a steady stream of lifestyle pop-ups. You come for a coffee, and suddenly you’re staying longer. Bkry, Home Bakery and Espresso Lab sit alongside a mix of homegrown concepts like Barn & Brew, Sidra, Fynd and Sadou. There’s perfume, pizza, photobooths and more, with names like Break Pizza, Knot, Piel and MDF Perfume dotted through the space. During the week, it leans into a laid-back rhythm. Coffee, pastries, a bit of people watching, and even the chance to catch horse training sessions and equestrian activity nearby. From Friday to Sunday, it picks up the pace with workshops and entertainment that pull in families and groups of friends.

If you like getting hands-on, there’s plenty to try. The Chenille Stem Flowers workshop is all about crafting something small and personal, from floral keychains to mini bouquets you can actually take home. The perfume-making workshop is more sensory. You sit, blend, test and tweak until you land on a scent that feels like yours. There’s also a paper vase workshop for those who want to lean into something a little more design-led.

Then there’s the entertainment. Expect roaming performers, from magicians to balancing acts and jugglers working with LED props, stilts and unicycles. It keeps things light, a little unexpected, and just busy enough to hold your attention. For younger visitors, flower-themed face painting adds a playful touch.

From April 10, things get even more lively with Splash & Play, a water-based experience designed for kids aged four to 12. It runs daily during mall hours and doubles up as a fun birthday party option. Think less screen time, more running around, cooling off and just being kids.
