Sheikh Mohammed was spotted walking around the new Primark store as it enters the UAE
Primark in Dubai Mall had a special visitor yesterday and shoppers were in for a surprise as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was spotted walking around the shop accompanied by a number of senior officials.
Videos of the visit quickly made the rounds on social media, with many praising his close interaction with the public and his hands-on leadership style. The ruler of Dubai was also spotted this month in Dubai Hills Mall, as he strolled with his entourage. Sheikh Mohammed was seen with his entourage walking past Jamie’s Italian restaurant in an Instagram story shared by the official Dubai Hills Mall Instagram account. Another Instagram story shows residents taking selfies with the Ruler in the background. The ruler also visited Géant UAE where he posed for photos with children. He was also videoed strolling through the aisles, looking at dry spices and the seafood counter.
This year, Primark has entered the UAE market, opening three stores in Dubai: Dubai Mall, City Centre Mirdif and Mall of the Emirates. The cult Irish brand has had huge hype around the openings, with shoppers excited to enjoy the low prices and stylish clothes that Primark is known for.
