The Roads and Transport Authority has also confirmed the adjusted timings for Dubai Metro and Dubai Tram

There’s going to be three days of free parking in Dubai for Eid Al Fitr, authorities have announced.

Ahead of the UAE long weekend, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that parking across the city will be free from Thursday March 19 until Saturday March 21.

As per Gulf News, all public parking will be free from the first day of Eid, until the third day of Eid, except for multi-storey parking lots. Regular charges will resume from Sunday March 22.

In addition, the RTA has unveiled revised timings for Dubai’s public transport network, allowing residents to seamlessly get around the city over the extended break.

Metro and Tram services

Dubai Metro Red and Green Line stations will operate from 5am until 1am the next day from Wednesday March 18 until Saturday March 21.

On Sunday March 22, both lines will run from 8am until 1am the next day.

Dubai Tram services

The Dubai Tram will operate from 6am until 1am the next day from Wednesday March 18 until Saturday March 21.

On Sunday March 22, Dubai Tram will run from 9am until 1am the following day.

Dubai Bus and Marine Transport

If you’re planning to use buses or marine transport, passengers are advised to check ahead on the S’hail app for the Eid weekend timings to help them best plan their journey.

However, a handful of bus routes won’t be moving as planned. Per RTA:

  • E100 will not operate from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from the afternoon of 18 March until 22 March.
  • E101 will operate from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi.
  • E102 will operate from Al Jafiliya Bus Station to Musaffah only from 19–22 March 2026.
