Tattu makes a suitably glamourous splash onto the Dubai dining scene
Set the Scene
Cemented as one of the leading names in the UK’s fun-dining scene, Tattu arrives in Dubai, not just as a restaurant, but as a trifecta of culinary experiences. The jewel in the crown of the world’s tallest hotel, Ciel Dubai Marina, guests can drink in panoramic views from the soaring 76th-floor infinity pool by day, enjoy sips and bites at Tattu Sky Lounge on level 81, then return to Tattu Restaurant on the 74th floor for a more formal dinner.
The Food and Drinks

We arrive for our reservation just as the sun is setting at Tattu Sky Lounge, taking our seats at a window-side table to watch the final rays of light dance over the striking Marina skyline. The lounge is dimly lit inside, arranged around a central bar where bartenders animatedly shake up cocktails. But you’ll want to snag a seat on the covered terrace for the best views. We order a Skull Candy (Dhs80), which arrives theatrically in a skull-shaped glass, dry ice pouring from the top for added effect.

With drinks finished, we make our way to the Tattu Restaurant for dinner, again snagging a window seat to admire the twinkling Marina buildings putting on their after-dark show. The menu is described as modern Asian, and traverses China, Korea, Japan and Thailand on its quest to present the very best regional dishes. It features everything from flavourful dim sum and sushi to small plates of crispy squid and short rib bao and larger dishes like Wagyu ribeye and Shanghai black cod.
From the small plates, sesame roasted scallops (Dhs103) are among our favourites, each scallop meaty and full of flavour. We play it safe with the California maki rolls (Dhs83) and delight in dunking each roll in fresh wasabi for added impact. The Peking duck and pancakes (Dhs216 half, Dhs387 full) is our must-try, beautifully presented as tender pieces of duck with a crispy skin alongside a steaming basket of delicate pancakes.

The Service
Consistently friendly and warmly knowledgeable. The team strike the balance of friendly and informative in a way that shows they know hospitality, without being over-the-top.

Signature cocktails start from Dhs60, while a meal for two will set you back roughly Dhs1,000.
What’s On Verdict
This is sky-high dining done well, with views, vibes and service all hitting the right notes.
