Oman Air issued the travel update via its official social media channels
The national carrier of Sultanate of Oman, Oman Air issued a travel update announcing route closures to and from a number of cities.
The travel update was made over its social media channels on Thursday, March 12, 2026.
The post states, ‘Oman Air flights continue to operate as normal, with additional services across our network. However, due to ongoing regional airspace closures, some routes remain temporarily affected.’
These are the cities with flights (to and from) affected:
- Dubai, UAE (DXB)
- Amman, Jordan (AMM)
- Bahrain (BAH)
- Doha, Qatar (DOH)
- Dammam, Saudi Arabia (DMM)
- Kuwait (KWI)
- Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH)
- Baghdad, Iraq (BGW)
- Khasab, Oman (KHS)
Oman Air added that guests will be able to manage their bookings via their official website omanair.com or via the Oman Air mobile app.

Salam Air, Oman’s budget-friendly airline, also announced that flights to and from Sharjah are suspended until March, 20, 2026.
However, Salam Air has added additional flights on selected routes to and from Fujairah until March 20. You can see the schedule here.

Other major flight updates to know about
On March 11, 2026, British Airways also announced a paused on all UAE flights out of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Flights to Dubai International Airport (DXB), as well as Amman, Bahrain, and Doha, were cancelled until the end of March 2026. Abu Dhabi flights have been suspended until later this year, with no firm return date announced.
