The UAE flight updates you need
As regional disruptions continue to impact travel plans across the UAE, Wednesday brings further updates for passengers flying in and out of the country. While some services are gradually resuming, delays, cancellations and schedule changes remain in place across several airlines. If you’re due to travel today, here’s what you need to know before heading to the airport.
Dubai Airport
Dubai Airport has released an advisory that passengers are advised not to travel to the airport unless they have received a confirmed departure time directly from their airline.
Emirates Airways flight updates
Emirates has temporarily suspended all operations to and from Dubai, up until 11.59pm UAE time on Wednesday, March 4.
Emirates continues to operate a limited number of passenger repatriation and freighter flights on 3 and 4 March. We are accommodating customers with earlier bookings as a priority on these limited flights. Please do not go to the airport unless you have been notified directly by Emirates or hold a confirmed booking for these flights.
Emirates continues to monitor the situation, and we will develop our operational schedule accordingly.
The latest flight updates will be published on the Emirates website.
Etihad Airways flight updates
Regional airspace closures continue to impact Etihad Airways’ operations, and all flights to and from Abu Dhabi are suspended until 2pm UAE time on Thursday, March 5.
Some repositioning, cargo and repatriation flights may operate in coordination with UAE authorities and subject to strict operational and safety approvals.
Guests should not travel to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad and advised to do so. Access to the airport will be restricted for those without confirmed travel documentation.
Passengers due to travel are advised to:
- Check their flight status at etihad.com before travelling to the airport
- Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking
- Guests holding Etihad tickets issued on or before February 28 2026, with original travel dates up to March 10 2026, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to March 31, 2026.

The safety of our passengers and crew remains our highest priority. We would like to thank our customers for their patience and understanding.

Other options
There are other options available for those wanting to get out of the UAE.
SpiceJet has announced that it will be operating some flights from Fujairah to India. See more here.
SalamAir and OmanAir are operating out of Muscat and there are now buses operating from Sharjah to Muscat for passengers.
What happens now?
The situation remains fluid, and aviation authorities across the region are reviewing conditions constantly. While safety measures are precautionary, further schedule changes are possible if tensions escalate or additional airspace restrictions are introduced.
For now, flexibility is key. If your travel is non-essential and easily rescheduled, it may be worth considering alternative dates until operations fully stabilise.
We’ll continue to update as more information becomes available.
