A brand new show, Celebration, has been running since December 26
If you’re looking for free things to do in Dubai this week, look no further than the stunning JBR drone show. Especially as this week is the last chance to catch it.
The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) drone show lights up the skies at Bluewaters and The Beach opposite JBR every day with not one, but two displays. You can catch it at 8pm and 10pm each evening until Sunday January 11.
Even if you caught the drone show at the start of DSF, it’s worth heading back down this week, as there’s a brand new show to check out. Titled Celebration, the drone show introduces an original visual narrative that’s been developed just for DSF by AO Drones. Combining more than 1,000 synchronised LED drones, new pyrotechnic elements and a fully orchestrated visual score, Celebration sees acclaimed actor Johnny Depp present The Bunnyman, one of his visual artworks, as a large-scale aerial artwork for the first time.

The Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) calendar features an action-packed lineup of concerts, festivals, and pop-ups, as well as fantastic deals , across 38 days from December 5, 2025, to January 11, 2026.
If a dazzling drone show isn’t enough, DSF also brings illuminating displays of fireworks to the city. At the gorgeous new Marsa Boulevard, there’s daily fireworks at 8.30pm until Sunday January 11, while this weekend will be the last chance to catch the weekend fireworks at both JBR (8pm) and Al Seef (9pm).
