Bringing a new swathe of dining, leisure and retail options to a new destination
The wait is over: Al Ain’s new Al Mutarid Lifestyle Center is now open. More than just a new mall, this new destination, found just a short walk away from Al Jahili Park, is an emporium of all things shopping, entertainment and dining. And it’s set to bring some brilliant homegrown and international concepts to Al Ain.
While Al Mutarid Lifestyle Center officially opened its doors in March 2026, the stores and restaurants inside are opening gradually, so while a handful of retail options are already operational, there’s plenty more to look forward to.
What’s already open?
As per the new destination’s Instagram page, one of the most exciting first openings is Blue Monster soft play, described as ‘an epic world of soft play, slides, and non-stop adventure for kids and families.’ Entrance is Dhs75.
Elsewhere a Sava supermarket, for stocking up on your everyday essentials, and Al Jabel Optical are also now open.
What’s still to come?
Plenty, actually.
Perhaps most exciting, Al Mutarid is set to become quite the foodie destination. Beloved South African cafe tashas will add to Abu Dhabi’s vibrant bean scene, Somewhere brings an Instagrammable take on all-day dining, while Dubai-born Blu Pizzeria promises to bring a slice of casual Italian flair to Al Ain. Plus, fans of 3Fils can look forward to the brand’s SLRP offshoot making its way to Al Ain for the very first time.
Further enhancing Al Ain’s cafe culture will be outposts of Laduree, Bake by SWK, Peet’s and Orijins. Viral bakehouse Knot makes its Abu Dhabi debut at Al Mtarid, while Em Sherif further expands its footprint in the UAE capital with an outpost of Em Sherif Deli.
