Stay in the know

Dubai Media Office in collaboration with National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) and the Dubai Resilience Centre has shared an official safety guide so you know what to do next when you receive an official MOI alarm.

First and foremost, it states, ‘Stay Calm. There is no need to panic.’

INSIDE A BUILDING (HOME OR OFFICE)

Move away from open areas

  1. Step away from balconies and window.
  2. Move to an interior area.

Follow instructions

  1. Listen for building announcements or security instructions.
  2. Avoid elevators unless instructed.
  3. Remain clear of glass partitions or surfaces.

Wait for the all-clear message

  1. Remain in place until you receive an ‘all clear’ MOI phone notification.
  2. Resume normal activities calmly.

IF YOU ARE OUTDOORS

Move indoors promptly

  1. Enter the nearest building.
  2. If you are driving, park safely, exit your vehicle and take cover in a safe location.

Avoid open areas

  1. Move away from windows or balconies.
  2. Avoid standing near external walls or glass panels.

The safety guide urges residents and visitors to only follow official updates and rely on verified information only. Avoid spreading unverified messages, audio or videos.

The guide shared online is available in the a number of languages including Arabic, English, Mandarin, Russian, Hindi, Tagalog, and Urdu.

Notice from Dubai Police

Dubai Police also issued out an official statement for our safety.

The post shared on X states, ‘Your Safety Comes First… Do not approach, touch, or photograph any debris or objects that may have fallen due to successful air interceptions. Leave it to the relevant authorities to handle. By complying, you help protect yourself and contribute to the safety of our community.’

The post added, ‘While some objects may appear harmless, interacting with them may pose safety risks.’
