Etihad Airways is expanding and there are five new routes for you to check out

Amidst some regional disruptions, Etihad Airways is showing that it’s continuing strong and even expanding its services with the announcement of five new routes and 28 new flights to China.

The expansion will see Etihad operate services from Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport to:

  • Shanghai Pudong (PVG)
  • Guangzhou (CAN)
  • Chengdu (TFU)
  • Hangzhou (HGH)
  • Shenzhen (SZX)

With these additions, it will bring the weekly flights from AUH by Etihad Airways to the great number of 35 across six destinations including the existing flight to Beijing Daxing (PKX).

All flights will be operated by Etihad’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner fleet, with 28 business and 262 economy seats.

The expanded network is set to boost connectivity between the UAE and China, making it easier than ever for passengers and cargo to move between the two countries. Travellers will benefit from improved access to some of China’s biggest commercial, industrial and tech hubs, while enhanced cargo routes will support global supply chains and high-value trade.

All new routes will fall under Etihad Airways’ joint venture with China Eastern Airlines, helping to streamline passenger connections. China Eastern already operates flights between key cities including Shanghai, Kunming and Xi’an, linking them with the UAE.

On the cargo side, Etihad’s partnership with SF Airlines will further strengthen air freight links, improving the flow of goods across major trade corridors between China and international markets.
