If Ramadan prep is already on your to-do list, consider this your sign

Dubai’s very first Ramadan market of 2026 is now open, bringing festive vibes, great-value shopping and plenty of reasons to head to the market in Deira.

Back for its fourth year, the Ramadan Souq which is organised by Dubai Municipality is a one-stop destination for everything you’ll need before the holy month begins.

Where you’ll find it

The market has taken over the historic Grand Souq Deira, and it’s open daily until Saturday February 15, giving you a generous window to shop, browse and soak up the atmosphere.

What’s on the shopping list?

Expect competitive prices across a wide mix of Ramadan must-haves, from home essentials and décor to gifts, food items and clever gadgets designed to make fasting month a little smoother.

You’ll also spot special products for Hag Al Laila, the much-loved Emirati tradition that takes place in the lead-up to Ramadan – ideal if you’re planning ahead.

It’s not just about shopping

This year, the Ramadan Souq is more than a market. Alongside the stalls, visitors can enjoy live entertainment, interactive workshops and family-friendly activities, making it an easy win for a relaxed evening out – especially if you’ve got the kids with you.

When does Ramadan start?

Ramadan follows the Islamic lunar calendar, meaning its start date shifts earlier each year. Based on astronomical calculations, the holy month is currently expected to begin around Thursday February 19, with official confirmation to come closer to the time.

The first of many

This is just the beginning. More Ramadan pop-up markets and seasonal events are expected to be announced across Dubai in the coming weeks – but this is the city’s first, and it’s already buzzing.

Where: Ramadan Souq, Grand Souq, Deira
When: Open now until Sat Feb 15, daily, 10am to 10pm
