Parking at Dubai Airport is about to get a whole lot easier
From January 22, 2026, drivers will no longer need to collect a ticket when using Dubai International Airport’s car parks. Dubai Airports has signed a 10-year deal with Salik to introduce a ticketless parking system across all terminals, making the experience faster and more convenient. The new system will allow drivers to pay automatically using their existing Salik e-wallet, removing the need for cash or card payments at kiosks.
The ticketless system will be rolled out at Terminals 1, 2 and 3, as well as the Cargo Mega Terminal, covering around 7,400 paid parking spaces in total, and is designed to improve traffic flow and reduce congestion, especially during peak travel periods.
So how does it work?
When you enter and exit the car park, your vehicle will be automatically recognised and the parking fee will be deducted straight from your existing Salik account. There’s no need to collect a ticket, stop at a payment machine or queue at the exit.
Dubai Airports says parking is often the first and last experience passengers have, so making it quicker, smoother and more seamless is a key priority.

Is Dubai Airport the biggest in the world?
In recent aviation news, Dubai International Airport (DXB) has taken the top spot as the world’s busiest airport, overtaking Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in the US. The ranking is based on scheduled airline seat capacity for January 2026, which measures how many seats airlines have made available for sale across both international and domestic flights. For January 2026, airlines have scheduled around 5.5 million seats through DXB. By comparison, Atlanta is expected to handle just under 5 million seats during the same period. Tokyo Haneda Airport ranked third worldwide.
