It’s part of a wider project that adds 15 tracks, totalling 162km, around the city

If you took one of the 57.3 million cycling trips in Dubai in 2025, you’ve likely already ticked off spins down Kite Beach, Al Qudra and the Business Bay canal.

But Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has just added some brand new routes for you to discover, with 13 new cycling tracks. Whether you cycle in Dubai as part of your daily commute, or love to ride on the weekends as part of your off-duty routine, here’s where you’ll find Dubai’s new cycling routes.

13 new cycling tracks now open

The RTA announced on Sunday March 29 the completion of 13 cycling tracks around the city, covering residential, tourist and public transport areas. The new tracks are part of a wider plan to add 15 tracks totalling 162km, as the city continues its work to become even more cyclist-friendly.

The new cycling routes include 10.5km of track in Al Barsha 2, 8km in Al Khawaneej 2, and 7km of track linking Al Quoz to Onpassive Metro Station, improving access to the city’s metro line for cyclists. A new bridge over Al Manara Street for cyclists is also part of the new tracks, designed to seamlessly connect the city.

Coming soon

The project isn’t fully complete yet. Bridges over several of the city’s busiest roads will ensure that connectivity gets even more seamless for cyclists in the coming months. The RTA is still constructing a bridge over Sheikh Zahed Road, which will connect Al Sufouh and Jumeirah to Hessa Street, a bridge over Al Khail linking Dubai Hills to Hessa St and Mall of the Emirates, and a bridge over Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road linking Al Khawaneej track to Al Mamzar Beach.

Another bridge over the Dubai-Al Ain Road linking Saih Al Salam Scenic Route to Al Warqua’a and Al Khawaneej Track is also still to be completed.
