Middle East Film and Comic Con 2026 rescheduled to September at ADNEC, with celebrity guests, panels and attractions still to come
Time to update your calendar. The Middle East Film & Comic Con is moving. MEFCC will now take place from September 11 to 13, 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, shifting from its earlier slot to a new post-summer weekend. The organisers say the change is about giving fans a better overall experience, with more room to build out the line-up and programme.
If you’ve already locked in your tickets, you’re covered. All previously purchased tickets remain valid for the new September dates, so there’s no need to rebook or swap.
The annual pop culture event has built a loyal following in the capital. The event has been pulling in everyone from comic collectors and gamers to film buffs and cosplay regulars. Each year, it brings a packed schedule of celebrity meet-and-greets, artist alleys, panel talks, live performances and fan competitions that spill across the halls at ADNEC.
The move to September opens up a different energy. Cooler weather, a fresh season, and a chance to reset the scale of the event after the summer lull. It also gives organisers extra time to secure headline guests and expand the experience across more zones on the floor.
Details on tickets, celebrity guests, exhibitors and the full programme are still to come, but more announcements are expected soon.
For now, one thing is clear. MEFCC is still on. Just a little later than planned, and with bigger plans in the works.
