A new Abu Dhabi beach opens at Yas Bay with fitness zones, games courts and calm space for easy, no fuss beach days
There’s a new reason to pack your flip flops. Yas Island is getting a new Abu Dhabi beach and it opens tomorrow. Yas Bay East Beach officially welcomes its first visitors on March 19, bringing a laid-back, easygoing beach spot to the heart of Yas Bay Waterfront.
This is not your usual crowded shoreline. It’s 290 metres of open beachfront with space to actually breathe. You can show up for a slow morning by the water, or treat it like an outdoor gym. There’s a dedicated fitness zone, plus space for volleyball, badminton and even a quick game of table tennis if you’re feeling competitive. If your idea of a good day involves doing very little, that works too. Roll out a towel, order something cold, and stay put until sunset.

From June, things pick up a little. Expect yoga sessions, beach bootcamps and HIIT classes for anyone keen to swap the gym walls for sea air. The beach sits right next to Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island, and hotel guests get in for free. Everyone else can visit for Dhs100 on weekdays and Dhs150 on weekends. Kids aged six to 12 get half-price entry, and little ones under six go free.
It opens daily from 7am until sunset, which means early risers can catch the quietest hour of the day, when the water is still and the island feels calm.
Simple, unfussy, and right where you want it. Yas just added one more reason to stay a little longer. If you’ve been looking for a new Abu Dhabi beach to add to your weekend rotation, this one is worth a look.
