The French capital’s celebrated piano bar looks set to hit all the high notes when it opens at Jumeirah Emirates Towers later this month
A sultry live music venue is set to open in Dubai – and this one comes by way of Paris: get ready to experience Le Piaf, debuting later this month at Jumeirah Emirates Towers.
A firm favourite on the social scenes in Paris, Megève, and Val-d’Isère, Le Piaf is a sizzling piano bar concept, set to hit all the right notes when it opens in DIFC on Wednesday May 20.
For its first venue outside of Europe, Le Piaf Dubai will feature all the quintessential touches the live music venue is known and loved for in France: endless red velvet shades, gilded mirrors and crystal chandeliers. Lashings of gold leaf and black lacquer further add to the design drama, with walls dotted with old paintings and banquettes upholstered in the brand’s signature crimson hue.
It’s a glamorous backdrop to evenings that will unfold to the sound of live piano sets. The pianist is there from the very beginning, setting a tone that is warm and unhurried. As the night continues, sets that range from French classics to English rock and American pop will get Le Piaf singing and dancing on their feet, before a DJ takes over and Le Piaf becomes an intimate club with high-octane sets dictating the tempo until the early hours.
On the culinary front, indulgent French fare takes centre stage. Signature starters include Gillardeau oysters, Wagyu carpaccio shaved with aged balsamic and truffle, and the kitchen’s standout sharing dish: chicken and caviar, one of the dishes that defines what Le Piaf does best.
Mains include sole meunière with capers and lemon, miso black cod with pickled daikon, roasted lobster in a lemongrass bisque, and the much-lauded lemon roasted yellow chicken, one of Le Piaf’s most ordered dishes.
For dessert, the Saint Honoré and Baba des Bobos was designed for the table to share, while a chocolate mousse with hazelnut praline and caramelised hazelnut is the dessert Le Piaf Paris has served since opening night.
