Air Arabia launches direct Abu Dhabi to Amman flights three times weekly, making it easier to plan quick city breaks to Jordan

Abu Dhabi travellers have a new direct route to Jordan, and it lands you right in the heart of Amman. Air Arabia is now flying non-stop between the two cities three times a week, making quick getaways a lot easier.

The route connects Zayed International Airport with Amman City Airport, giving travellers another option when heading to the Jordanian capital. It also marks the second airport in Jordan served by the airline, which already flies into the country.

The launch did not go unnoticed. In Abu Dhabi, airline representatives and airport officials gathered at Zayed International Airport to mark the first departure. Over in Amman, the inaugural flight was welcomed with a water cannon salute on arrival, a small but symbolic nod to a new connection between the two cities.

Amman, Jordan

For travellers, the appeal is clear. Amman is a city that blends old and new without trying too hard. You have Roman ruins, busy souks, and a café scene that keeps evolving. A direct flight from Abu Dhabi makes it easier to dip in for a long weekend or build it into a wider Jordan itinerary.

Air Arabia is keeping things simple. The flights operate on its Airbus A320 fleet, and passengers can stream entertainment through SkyTime or order from the SkyCafe menu onboard. Frequent flyers can also earn points through the Air Rewards programme.

Bookings are already open through the airline’s website, call centre, and travel agents.

For Abu Dhabi residents, it is another route that makes quick escapes more doable. No stopovers, no long layovers, just a direct hop to one of the region’s most character-filled capitals.
