High above Palm Jumeirah, CouCou Dubai blends skyline views, sharing plates and a party that builds before dessert even arrives
The spot
CouCou Dubai sits 52 floors up in The Palm Tower, this is Dubai laid out like a glittering map. You’ve got Palm Jumeirah on one side, the coastline stretching out on the other, and that feeling that you’re slightly above the noise of it all. It is polished, a little flashy, and built for people who are not ready to call it a night after dinner.

The vibe
Early evening is calm. Tables are full, but it is still about conversation, the view, that first drink. It feels almost romantic. Then the shift happens. The music gets louder, the tempo picks up, and the room starts to loosen. By the time you are halfway through your meal, it is clear this is not just dinner. By the time dessert lands, it is a different place. Smoke machines, sparklers, staff dancing between tables. It turns quickly, but it works.
The food & drinks
The menu is built for sharing and keeps things familiar, but done well. The signature guacamole is fresh and easy, the kind of starter that disappears without effort. The smoked beef bao is soft and rich, and the crispy calamari does exactly what you want it to. The burrata with pesto and cherry tomatoes is a standout. Clean, creamy, and a good reset before mains. For mains, the milk-fed lamb cutlet with feta mix and spicy aubergine is the heavier option, full of flavour and worth the splurge. The grilled Mediterranean sea bass with zucchini and artichoke purée is lighter and well balanced. Sides are simple but necessary. Broccolini and roasted potatoes do the job. Dessert is where you lean in. The banana date cake is warm, rich and the one to order. It is the kind of dessert that quietly steals the night. Order it. Do not overthink it.

The service
Good service that keeps up with the pace of the night. Plates arrive on time, drinks are topped up, and once things turn into a party, the staff are part of it.
What to order
Banana date cake
What’s on the bill
Budget around Dhs800 for two if you are doing starters, mains and dessert. Drinks will push it higher, and you will probably want another round once the music kicks in.
