The package includes a series of fee waivers and discounts designed to help businesses manage costs and cash flow

Dubai’s business landscape is getting a timely boost, as Emirates NBD rolls out a new Business Support Package aimed at helping SMEs stay resilient during a challenging period.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the initiative introduces a range of temporary fee-relief measures to ease the pressure of day-to-day operations. From waived loan deferment fees to free business debit card replacements, the package is all about cutting costs where it matters most. Businesses will also benefit from waived cheque return fees linked to unexpected cash flow interruptions, plus no charges on cash withdrawals at ATMs across the UAE and GCC.

There’s more: Emirates NBD is scrapping international courier fees for business card deliveries and offering a 30 per cent discount on trade finance services, including letters of credit and guarantees.

The bank is also offering a discount of 40 per cent on Cash Management services, regularising the introductory pricing offer.

The move comes in step with wider efforts across the region to support economic stability and growth.

A Dhs1 billion boost

The business support package from SME’s is the latest in a string of initiatives launched to boost business in Dubai. On March 30, Dubai unveiled a major Dhs1 billion financial boost aimed at supporting tourism and hospitality across the emirate.

Available from April 1 for three to six months, among the key highlights, businesses will benefit from:

  • Deferral of select government and tourism fees for three months
  • Hotels can postpone 100% of sales fees and Tourism Dirham payments
  • Customs grace periods extended from 30 to 90 days
  • Simplified residency processes for businesses and investors

Businesses giving back

Elsewhere, businesses continue to show support for the wider community through a series of initiatives. For example, Uber is offering up to 20% off rides to select community hotspots from April 3 to 7 using codes SUPPORTLOCALDXB for Dubai and SUPPORTLOCALAD for Abu Dhabi.

Majid Al Futtaim is also showing up for small businesses with the launch of the Ma’an initiative. Through it, selected businesses will be offered free space across major high-footfall locations, including Mall of the Emirates and THAT Concept Store. There’s also added visibility through platforms like VOX Cinemas, Carrefour and the SHARE loyalty programme. To apply, businesses need a valid UAE trade licence and must have been operating for at least 12 months.
