Small UAE businesses, come to the front
A new initiative is giving UAE-based entrepreneurs the chance to step into some of the country’s biggest retail and entertainment spaces — without paying for the privilege. Ma’an by Majid Al Futtaim has been launched in partnership with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, with a clear mission: to champion local businesses and help their stories reach a wider audience.
At its core, the programme is about access. Selected brands will be offered free space across Majid Al Futtaim’s vast ecosystem, placing them directly in front of millions of consumers across the UAE.
That includes high-footfall destinations like Mall of the Emirates and THAT Concept Store, as well as exposure through VOX Cinemas, Carrefour, and the group’s digital platforms — including its popular loyalty programme, SHARE.
In short, it’s a rare opportunity for small businesses to showcase their products in spaces where people already shop, dine and spend their time — without the usual barriers to entry.

Who can apply?
Ma’an is open to locally established UAE businesses, but there are a few criteria to tick off:
- You must hold a valid UAE trade licence
- Your business must have been operating continuously for at least 12 months
If that sounds like you, you can submit your interest for a chance to be featured, with selected brands contacted by the team directly.
For the UAE’s growing community of entrepreneurs, it’s another sign that the spotlight on homegrown talent is only getting brighter — and now, it comes with prime retail space to match.
