All flights temporarily suspended to and from Dubai

Flights at Dubai International Airport including Emirates have been temporarily suspended as a precautionary safety measure

According to an update shared by Dubai Media Office this morning on 16 March at 5:28am, the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced the temporary suspension of flights to ensure the safety of all passengers and employees.

Travellers due to depart from or arrive at Dubai International Airport are advised to contact their respective airlines for the latest updates regarding their flights.

Authorities have said that any additional updates will be announced as soon as they become available.

The latest options offered by Emirates

Emirates offered up options to customers booked to travel on February 28 to March 31, 2026.

Customers can rebook another flight to their intended destination for travel on or before April 30. Customers who booked directly with Emirates can reach out here, while those who booked through a travel agent are advised to reach out to their agent.

Customers can also request for refund by completing the online form here if tickets are booked directly with Emirates. Customers can also request a refund from their travel agents. 

For all official updates, Emirates urged their passengers to check if their contact details are correct by visiting  emirat.es/managebooking.

Emirates added that all city check-in points in Dubai are temporarily closed until further notice.
