Here’s what we know so far about the rides, shops, and magical corners
Potterheads, if you didn’t know, a Harry Potter themed-land will be opening its castle gates in Abu Dhabi. The park was announced back in 2022 and will be located within one of the world’s largest indoor theme parks – Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi on Yas Island.
While we all eagerly wait for our owl invitation, here’s a few things to know before you hop on your brooms.
The Harry Potter themed-land in Abu Dhabi will be the first of its kind to ever open in the Middle East, which means every witch, wizard and muggle will be flying over to experience its magic.

Based on documents and industry sources, The National reports that the expansion will feature several recognisable elements from the Harry Potter universe. Similar to the other theme parks on the island, it will be entirely indoors, allowing visitors to enjoy the park even during the summer time.
When it was first announced, Pam Lifford, President, Global Brands and Experiences from Warner Bros. Discovery stated, ‘The Wizarding World offers something for fans of every age to enjoy.’ Understanding the unending love for the magical series, Lifford stated that the theme park will bring the magical world to life with immersive experiences.

More information has not just officially been released by the park, but we’re hoping for, is thrilling experiences that include riding on brooms, potion class and wand-waving workshops, a ride on the Hogwarts Express, and more.
And of course, no experience is complete without food. We would love to visit Hogsmeade and sip on buttermilk, brave Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, bite on chocolate frogs, enjoy a slice of Harry Potter’s birthday cake (yes, the ‘Happee Birthdae Harry’ one), savour Cornish pasties, and much more.

According to The National, the themed-space will include Hogwarts Castle (it would be wrong not to). It is said to be the main highlight of the area, housing the land’s main ride. And of course, for a little bit of shopping, there’s Diagon Alley, where visitors can walk through the crooked streets filled with magical shopfronts. The filings also indicate a Dark Forest zone filled with magical creatures, from towering spiders to spellbound trees.
No official date has been announced for the park’s opening but construction is already underway. What’s On will be keeping a close ‘Mad-Eye’ Moody watch for any new developments.
