It’s the second spot to close on J1 Beach
Another J1 Beach favourite is saying goodbye. Lúnico Dubai has confirmed it is closing its doors at J1 Beach, marking the end of its run at the beachfront dining destination.
Known for its Spanish-inspired menu, vibrant atmosphere and stylish interiors, Lúnico quickly became one of the standout spots along J1 revamped coastline that opened in 2024. From long Mediterranean lunches to lively late-night dinners, it carved out a name for itself among Dubai’s ever-evolving beach club and restaurant scene.
A message shared by the venue on their website said that “Some stories last exactly as long as they are meant to. Ours is coming to a close. Thank you for every order, every message, every recommendation, and every quiet moment of support. Lúnico was never just a brand — it was a community. While this chapter ends, we would love to see you at Mint City Walk and at Primi & Primi Lounge City Walk — where the story continues. Thank you for being part of our world.”
While the J1 Beach location will close, the brand has indicated that guests can still visit its associated concepts at City Walk, suggesting this isn’t a complete goodbye — just the end of this particular chapter.
The closure adds to the constantly shifting landscape at J1 Beach, where new concepts regularly open as others bow out such as Chou Chou that closed last year. If Lúnico has been on your must-visit list, consider this your sign — final dinners are calling.
