If January felt like one long group chat you forgot to mute, this is your reset button. Think sunrise yoga, meditation circles, talks that make you rethink your screen time, and live music drifting in the background. You can float between sessions or just feel the sand between your toes and exist for a bit. No pressure, no noise, just you and your nervous system finally unclenching.

Location: Fahid Island

Time: February 6 to 8

Cost: From Dhs245

Masquerave

What’s On archive

The Louvre after dark hits different. The park turns into a full-blown dance floor, all flashing lights, pounding bass and mysterious masks that make everyone feel a little braver. Adriatique takes over from midnight, with The Blaze warming things up earlier, so expect serious electronic music energy. It’s part art, part rave, part “how is this my life right now?”.

Yes, that Mariah. The voice. The whistle notes. The songs you pretend you don’t know every word to, then suddenly do. With the sea breeze rolling in and thousands of people singing along, it’s shaping up to be one of those goosebump nights you’ll talk about for years. Bring tissues and your inner diva.

Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open

Tennis is wildly underrated as a day out. You get big serves, dramatic rallies and that satisfying thwack echoing around the stadium. Tickets are affordable, snacks are easy, and you can dip in and out between matches. Go with friends, pick a favourite player and suddenly you’re emotionally invested for six straight hours.

Location: International Tennis Centre, Zayed Sports City

If the smell of petrol and the sound of engines makes your heart beat faster, this one’s calling your name. Expect racing action on track and a proper car-lover’s playground off it, including Yas Motor Majlis with hundreds of seriously good-looking rides. There’s food trucks, kids’ zones and enough to keep the whole family busy, even if only one of you actually knows what torque means.

Sunday nights deserve better than leftovers and scrolling. Head up to this rooftop for Latin beats, dancers, colourful everything and a crowd that actually came to have fun. Add a three-course menu and free-flow drinks and suddenly Monday feels very far away. It’s loud, lively and exactly the right kind of chaos.

Location: Siddharta Lounge by Buddha-Bar, Yas Island

Time: 7pm to 11pm

Cost: Dhs149 per person

The Cove House

Umm Al Emarat Park turns into a whimsical little world for this one. Think colourful installations, indie brands, cute finds you didn’t know you needed and plenty of snacks to justify a long wander. There are creative workshops, arcade games and enough corners to keep kids entertained while you “just quickly” browse another stall. Spoiler, you’re not leaving empty-handed.

Location: Umm Al Emarat Park

Time: 4pm to 11pm

Cost: Dhs60, plus Dhs10 park entry
