From 19 to 20…. Dubai’s rise on the MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants list

Dubai’s dining scene has officially levelled up. The MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants 2026 list has been revealed, and once again, Dubai has proven why it’s one of the most exciting places to eat in the world. This year, 20 restaurants in Dubai earned a spot on the MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants ranking, up from 19 Dubai restaurants in 2025 marking a strong rise for the Dubai’s culinary reputation.

What is MENA? The MENA’s 50 Best Restaurants list celebrates the very best dining experiences across the Middle East and North Africa. The annual ranking is compiled by a panel and score on creativity, consistency, service and overall experience.

The No.1 spot for 2026 was awarded to Khufu’s, a dining destination set against one of the most iconic backdrops in the world. While the top honour went to Egypt this year, Dubai’s presence across the rest of the list was nothing short of dominant.

Dubai’s showing in 2026 highlights not just quantity, but quality. From intimate chef-led concepts and modern Emirati kitchens to tasting menus and globally recognised fine-dining institutions, Dubai’s entries reflect a dining scene that’s diverse and constantly evolving.

Perhaps most impressively, Dubai claimed some of the highest-ranking positions on the list. Kinoya secured the No.2 spot and was named Best Restaurant in the UAE, while Trèsind Studio and Orfali Bros landed in the global top five, a huge achievement by any standard.
