If your idea of a good day out involves elite sport, happy kids and plenty to do between matches, the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open 2026 is calling.

The WTA 500 tournament returns to the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City from January 31 to February 7, and this year it leans hard into being one of the most family-friendly events on the Abu Dhabi calendar. Now in its fourth year, the tournament has become a highlight on the Women’s Tennis Association calendar. Expect eight days of fierce competition as 28 singles players and 16 doubles teams take to the court.

On court, the line-up delivers. World No. 5 and Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina leads the field, joined by defending champion Belinda Bencic, Paula Badosa, Sofia Kenin, Jelena Ostapenko and rising stars Alexandra Eala and Victoria Mboko.

Away from the courts, the Tennis Village is bigger and busier than ever. There will be Giant Jenga, Plinko and arcade challenges, art workshops, skill stations, basketball clinics and a dedicated kids’ play area. There is even a Village passport you can stamp your way through for prizes.
